Part-Time Pros was created in March of 2008 by Tulsa natives Carey Dunkin Baker and Brett Baker. In July of 2007, Brett and Carey became parents and wanted to be able to balance their work/family life. Carey saw an opportunity to tap into the talents of degreed professionals who wanted to continue working while also making time for family. This concept was the spring board for launching Part-Time Pros.
Part-Time Pro's mission is to be a premier staffing agency that specializes in recruiting professionals (the “professionals”) who are seeking part-time employment and placing them with companies (the “clients”) who have part-time personnel needs. Part-Time Pros is the only firm in Tulsa and Oklahoma recruiting individuals who are degree-educated or have equivalent work experience to work contract or part-time solely. Part-Time Pros employs professionals from the following demographics: stay-at-home moms/dads, early retirees, highly skilled independent contractors, and college students seeking part-time employment. Part-Time Pros recognizes the desire of these talented professionals wanting to continue careers on a part-time basis and gives the clients the benefit of receiving the professionals’ services at a much reduced cost over their competitors.
Part-Time Pros vision is to provide flexibility for employers and to be a resource to professionals seeking part-time employment. Part-Time Pros defines “part-time” as the desire or availability to work for any or all of the following alternative work arrangements: alternative hours, work environment (telecommuting) or contract work for a specified period of time. Part-Time Pros works to identify potential clients and continues to work with existing clients in order to identify their changing personnel needs.
Part-Time Pros is a professional staffing firm which unites educated professionals who desire contract, temp-to-hire, or direct hire positions with companies who have alternative work arrangements.
Part-Time Pros works to identify professionals by conducting thorough personal interviews, specialized skills tests for specific positions, reference checks, criminal background investigation and pre-employment drug screening and continues to work with existing clients in order to identify their ever-changing personnel needs. In addition, the company recognizes the desire of these talented professionals wanting to continue careers on a part-time basis and gives their clients the benefit of receiving the professionals’ services at a much reduced cost over their competitors.
